Great News!
So today should be a fun and exciting day. A day I have wanted to happen since I was a little kid, a day denied to me for years...yes today is the day that I get a dog!
This will probably seem sudden to many of you but this has been on the back burner for Chrissy and I for a little while. The problem was we had to find the right dog to fit our lifestyle. We needed a dog good with kids, okay with cats, and one that was already housebroken because we just didn’t have the time or patience to deal with that right now. We found a couple that we liked but some of the shelters didn't think we were a good fit due to the fact that we have a kid (Even though they specified the dog was good with kids on the web site) or the fact that we have cats (Even though they specified the dog was good with cats on the web site), or the fact that we worked full time.
So we decided the other day to go a shelter that was nearby to where we happened to be and see what they had. And I tell you this dog called out to us from the moment we saw him. He's what you'd call a pure bred mutt, but he is friendly, playful, and good with Evan. So we are going to pick him up today and bring him home.
Now on all the adoption papers the dog's name will appear Artie. However the name on name tag and all his vet paperwork will read Arty. Why the difference? Well we already have a Loki, Oden, and Evan. It just seemed weird to have 5 letters in the name when we could easily make it four.
